Wheeled robotic explorers built by European space organizations to drive across the surface of Mars. The Rosalind Franklin rover, formerly called the ExoMars rover and named for the British chemist who helped reveal the structure of DNA, is the European Space Agency rover planned to drill up to two meters below the surface in search of traces of past life. A rover belongs here when its cited source names the European Space Agency or a European national space organization as its builder or operator.
