Surveyor 7

Lunar Lander

Surveyor 7 was sent to the Moon in 1968 on a scientific and photographic mission as the seventh and final lander of the American uncrewed Surveyor program. Following two earlier unsuccessful missions in the series, Surveyor 7 became the fifth and last spacecraft of the program to achieve a soft lunar landing, and it transmitted a total of 21,091 pictures back to Earth.
