BluShift Aerospace is an American aerospace company headquartered in Brunswick, Maine, founded in March 2014 by Sascha Deri. The company develops hybrid rocket engines and boosters powered by plant derived biofuels for launching small satellites and supporting suborbital research missions, and has received funding from the United States Air Force, NASA's Small Business Innovation Research program and the Maine Technology Institute. In January 2021 BluShift Aerospace launched its Stardust 1.0 rocket, making it the first company in Maine to launch a commercial rocket and the first in the world to launch a rocket powered by a bio-derived fuel.
