Michael Barratt

Michael Barratt is an American physician and NASA astronaut, board certified in internal and aerospace medicine, who served as a NASA flight surgeon and helped develop the space medicine programs used for the Shuttle Mir program and the International Space Station before his own selection as an astronaut. His first spaceflight was a long duration mission to the International Space Station as a flight engineer on Expedition 19 and 20, and in March 2011 he completed a second spaceflight as a crew member of STS-133. He later flew a second long duration station mission across Expeditions 70, 71 and 72 and served as pilot on the SpaceX Crew-8 mission.
