Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corp, commonly known as Ball Aerospace, was an American manufacturer of spacecraft, components and instruments for national defense, civil space and commercial space applications, founded in 1956 and headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado. It remained a wholly owned subsidiary of Ball Corporation until August 2023, when Ball Corporation agreed to divest it to BAE Systems Inc for 5.6 billion dollars in cash; the deal closed on February 16, 2024, and the company now operates as a division within BAE Systems called Space and Mission Systems.
